This week’s Daily Post photo challenge theme is “relic” and I immediately knew that one of the photos from the Street Rod show would be perfect.
The Street Rod show had many, many cars that had been restored to perfection and looked just as good as, if not better than, they had when they were new. I got a lot of good shots of those, but a part of me liked the other cars – the weathered, worn, and a bit beat up – even better. They had more texture and felt more tied to their history. One of my favorite shots of the day, and one I didn’t include in the previous post, was this one.
This picture perfectly encapsulates the idea of a relic to me because it’s weathered & worn and the part of the photo that’s most in focus is the part that looks back.
